CPC or PPC model
Attrace facilitates the affiliate marketing use case, witch is in other words Cost Per Sale (CPS). CPS is also often also known as Pay Per Sale (PPS).
However, sometimes a Publisher agrees with a Merchant to get paid per lead or click generated. This is known as Cost per click (CPC) or Pay Per Click (PPC). This is advertising where a Merchant pays a cost to a Publisher for every click on an ad.
Although this is not the basic proposition of Attrace, the Attrace UI and network can easily also facilitate this advertising model. A Merchant can simply set up a contract where Publisher gets paid per click instead of sale / conversion.
